Nose
Bring on the old-world wine charm with Epoch’s 2019 Mourvèdre, a wine we don’t make every year, only when the Mourvèdre has something to say. This beauty boasts a potpourri of dried roses, dried herbs (rosemary and thyme), autumn forest, tea leaves, roasted mushrooms, milk chocolate, cured meats, sea air, red plum, and red cherry.
Palate
With some time in your glass, more red fruit reveals itself as well does vanilla and black pepper, and the at-first-tight tannins soften and broaden. This wine is sure to impress you even more with 5-7 years cellar age.
Aging
Education: Aged 17 months in French oak mid to large (300 – 500 L) barrels (80% new)
Bottling
Graduation: Bottled May 4, 2021 | Debut: Released Fall 2022
